Students get chance to order letterman jackets

In just a few weeks you will see many more kids with letterman jackets swarming around in the hallway trying to get to class because the band is finally ordering their letterman jackets.

“I am very excited, I think they are a part of the high school experience but they are expensive,” freshman Courtney Palsa said.

Since seventh grade band students have ordered t-shirts, shoes, and hoodies that only last about a year but now, they are at the high school, students can order letterman jackets.

The jackets are red and black, as usual, and all kinds of extras that can be ordered with it.

Brooke Reeves said, ” I love my jacket, it keeps me so warm.”

The more stuff you get the more it costs, usually it costs around “$120 to $175,” according to band director Tony Luzzi.

It takes about six weeks to get them in once you have ordered them.

Many students bought or will be buying lettermen jackets and cant wait to get them in.

“We usually order between thirty-five and fifty jackets,”  Band Director, Tony Luzzi said.

Freshman can’t wait to get their hands on a letterman jacket.

“I’m kind of excited about getting a letterman jacket but they are really expensive,” Anthony West said.

Brandon Worley said “I’m sort of happy, I mean I want one but not sure if my parents would get me one.”

Although freshman are usually the ones who order the majority of letterman jackets, they aren’t the only ones.

Band director Cindy Burrow said, “Every year maybe 15 or  20 percent who order jackets are upperclassmen.”
