Lions win homecoming game, 46-34

Homecoming festivities and game  against the Parkview Patriots was Sept. 30 ended with the Lions coming out on top 46-34.

The Lions were up at halftime, then a few muffled kickoffs and fumbles let the  Patriots lead the store with 9 points.

Running back Antwan Arnold, Camdon Woodruff, and Quarterback Desmond Stegall  finished with over 300 yards of  passes which gave Searcy the 46-34 victory  of the night.

“We started blocking right and the offensive line did really good,” Arnold said.

At one point during the third quarter, Arnold broke for three first-down-length runs through the same hole on the left side of the line.

“I saw the hole and I hit it,” says Arnold. “Grant Grady did good blocking me. They told me to follow him and I did. It feels pretty good and I’m proud of the team and the line.”

With the first conference game win done, Coach Harper says he’s looking forward to a tough game in West Memphis on Friday, Oct. 7.
