The Daily Thought #1 – Hallways

This is the first of many thoughts about daily life here at Searcy High School.

-High School Hallways are interesting places in the world. People are hurrying to get to classes, while others stand and chat with friends, and still others walk so slowly, that it seems they are standing still. It is a strange place. When with friends, the hallway isn’t too bad, but when walking alone, it feels as if you are the only one there. People whizzing by, conversations all around you, as you amble onwards to your next class. It is a time of remarkable solitude where you can gather your thoughts and ponder on random things in life. Some sidewalks in busy cities are the same way. Everyone trying to make their own lives better, and it is easy to just pass on by without noticing a single person. It is interesting to think, however, how each and every person passing by has his own life, own stories, own problems, own interests.  So, the next time you are in a school hallway or on a busy sidewalk, take a moment to just think about the people you see and the lives that they have. Who knows, one of them might need your help, or just need someone to talk to. And hey, you might meet the friend of a lifetime.

Just something to think about…
