Future Fest lets students explore colleges

Many colleges from the state of Arkansas and some from out of out state helped to provide juniors and seniors with information about their colleges at the Fall Future Fest was Oct. 131.

The festival was really helpful to juniors and seniors.

“I don’t really know where I want to go to college yet that’s why I’m really appreciating this,” said Senior Josh Reaper.

Every junior and senior was able to walk around and mingle with representatives from each college.  The University of Central Arkansas, University of Arkansas, University of Arkansas Little Rock, U of A Monticello, Arkansas State

University, Arkansas Tech, and Ouachita Baptist were among the schools represented.

“I think that this is a great thing for the students,” said English teacher Trisha White.  “A lot of the Juniors don’t realize that now is the time to start planning for college.”

Along with being helpful to students, the festival also gave the students a chance to talk one on one with a recruiter from the college that they’re interested in.

“The Fall Future Fest was really cool,”  said Senior Cody Coughlin. “I learned a lot about a bunch of different colleges.”

All in all, the Fall Future Fest was a great success.  Every Junior and Senior got the chance to meet with colleges, and got information regarding scholarship opportunities.
