As the quiz bowl season rolls around, great things are expected.


“I think we have got a lot of potential to do well this year. We got a state championship last year, and that under the belt this year, so we are gonna have to see what we gotta do to get it again this year. We have a lot of new people this year that are gonna be help as well,” said junior Crystal Neil.


In order to have an outstanding season, hard work and effort is required.


“We have a pretty good time as you just saw, learn some new stuff, write down what you want to remember, and just kinda test our knowledge,” said Crystal.


Everyone has something different they enjoy about Quiz Bowl.
Crystal said, “I like the way how everyone works together, and how everyone’s specialties get incorporate and the random questions that come up, and  its funny to see what people know.”

There are certain elements that each person needs to have to compete in quiz bowl. 


“What it takes to have a championship team are students that have played quiz bowl for many years, students that are dedicated to quiz bowl. By that I mean, they have to study out side of school, along with every thing else they have, and just determination,” said quiz bowl coach Beverly Joyner.


Joyner has a lot of confidence in her team. “Absolutely we will win state again!”


With high hopes comes great expectations as the quiz bowl is hoping for another winning season.
