What to do in Searcy, part 2

So if you tuned in yesterday for the tips on how to have fun in Searcy you will find that this a continuation of that first blog post.  All things fun to do in Searcy focus around one area, “Keep Entertained.”  If you feel boredom setting in get up and do something no matter what it is.

  • Go for a walk or a run if you’re an athlete or even if you want to get some fresh air.
  • Get your dog (if you have a dog) and take him/her for a walk down your street, around the block, etc.

Another good thing about Searcy is that there are woods everywhere.  With woods comes many different activities.  Also Searcy is a big city so there are lots of places to visit.

  • Go for a hike, nature walk, or trail run.
  • Geocaching is also a up and coming activity on people’s lists of things to do.
  • Also Searcy is home to two different golf courses.  One located at Searcy’s Country Club and the other located in the River Oaks housing edition.
  • Also Searcy has a bunch of different parks including Berryhill, Yancey, and Spring park.

Therefore if you like the outdoors Searcy is a good place to be.  Searcy also is home to a prime rock climbing spot Riverside Park.  There is no charge for climbing but it is suggested that every climber take extreme caution while climbing and swimming in the river.
