Thanksgiving gives students spend time with families

Searcy students leave for Thanksgiving break every year.  The break for Thanksgiving gives the students a time to get away from school.

Students look forward to Thanksgiving break because it is one of the first big breaks that students get out of the year, and because of Thanksgiving being one of the first big breaks that the students receive, they savor every part of it.  Some of the great things about the holiday include quality family time, watching football, going on vacations, and eating great home-cooked food.

Students are thankful for many things over the break whether it’s family, friends, food, football, etc.  Thanksgiving break is a great way to help students realize what they are thankful for.

“I’m thankful for friends, family, and getting out of school for three days,” senior Hayden Hill said.  “I eat with my family and just hang out and enjoy the vacation. I think that everyone’s favorite part is the food.”

“The thing I like most about Thanksgiving is probably the fact that I like to give thanks,” said Creameans.  “Some of the things I’m thankful for are my family, my friends, and everything like that.”

Thanksgiving is also a great time to bring families together.  Senior Lupe Castorena views family time as her favorite part of the break.  “I think that Thanksgiving is a great way to bring families together,” Castorena said.

All in all, the Thanksgiving break is a great way for students to spend time with their families and enjoy the many different aspects of Thanksgiving.  So during Thanksgiving break make sure to give thanks.
