Searcy High School senior, Erin Chapman, said she enjoyed helping out.

“I got asked to do some face painting, and I de

cided to come out because I thought it was a good thought it was a good opportunity,” Chapman said.

Children from all over Searcy came out to sell their candy. While they were there they could write letters to members of the armed services.

“Cash is a good incentive to kids. No kid has really been upset,” Boyd said.  “They even asked if they could bring the candy that they didn’t want.”

At the candy buy back, there were many events for people to participate including a raffle for an iPad. The proceeds from the raffle went to benefit the Special Education program at Searcy High School. Free food, face painting and a dunking booth were also part of the event.
