Using cell phones in school won’t disrupt

Many  people at our school have been debating over the issue of not being able to have cell phones at school. The teachers say it’s wrong; the kids say that it should be allowed.

In my personal opinion, I think that they should be allowed at all times.

It IS understandable why teachers and even parents don’t want to allow them because they are scared that they will interfere with concentration and work.

But if you have the rule that the children can’t use them during class there won’t be a problem. At least just let the kids text or make calls before, after, in the hallways, and during lunch at school.

Cell phones are a necessity to many kids my age. They use phones to communicate with each other and that is only putting it simple.

We use them in our everyday lives, and I don’t think that it is exactly right to take them away for a long period of time.

We only get five minutes in between classes, before school, during lunch, and after school. I think that is the perfect amount of time to get things done.

Make all the calls that need to be made, look up what you need to look up for your work, and many other things that  just need to be done.

The time we have is not the “problem” parents and teachers should have though. They have nothing to worry about.

When you are in high school, parents and teachers need to start trusting us and understanding that most of us know right from wrong, we know when we can and can’t use our phones.

Just learn to trust us then we will do what you say.

I think the real reason that Phones are not allowed is that teachers and administrators don’t think we will be responsible with our time.  I think other wise.

I think we will do the exact opposite with our time. We care more about our school work than people think, parents and teachers think like

Just give us a little break we need it. We work our behinds off trying to get you to understand that we are not as bad as you would normally think.

Attention ALL teachers and parents Cell Phones are not a sin! They actually come in handy at times.

If you tell us not to use them during class but give us the privilege to use them any other time, I don’t think it will be a problem. We know not to abuse it just give us a chance.

I honestly think that if you trust us, then we will learn to listen. We can do this. Again just learn to trust us, we could use all the credit we deserve.

Along with other students at Searcy High I think that we should be able to have phone’s when we are NOT in class.
