Fritter returns from living in England

Three years ago, friends and family said goodbye to Kyle Fritter as he headed off on a new adventure across the Atlantic Ocean.

His step dad and mom were transferred to East Anylia, England in a small town of Ely for military work. After being in England for two and half years, Fritter is back in the states. He currently lives with his dad outside of city limits. His mom and step dad are still in Ely, but will be deploying to Texas in December. His mother is a nurse, while his step dad is in military work.

“I love Searcy, and I love the states. I don’t miss but parts of Ely. I do miss my mom, but I get to talk to her every night,” Fritter states.

Being in a different time zone for two years can be hard to adjust to, but not for Fritter.

“I’ve adjusted pretty well, I’ve made a lot more friends and I still have my old friends as well. Ely is an older city and Searcy is full of new building and stuff. The people are a whole lot different; Searcy people don’t dress like models, aren’t disrespectful and racist, and they don’t do crazy things, unlike british people. At my school we had to wear uniforms and we had british history, metric math, british english, and other classes of that sort,” says Fritter.

“There are many things to see and do in the town of Ely,” Fritter said, “Although it’s small, there are a lot of attractions like catherdrals, castles, and old houses. And, the weather is cold and rainy all the time.”

Living is a different continent can have it’s advantages.

Fritter says, “I got to visit Spain, Germany, France, Italy, and Egypt. I love the attractions, but the people hated americans. It was difficult to do anything without being looked down upon.”

So whether you see Fritter in the hallways, somewhere in town, or at the skatepark, just say hello and make him feel welcome.
