Students enjoy local coffee hut

There is a popular coffee hut in town that attracts many people of the holiday season.

“This is the busiest time of year, it always picks up around the holidays,” said Mountain Mudd owner Steve Willibey, “People are buying gift cards and gift certificates.”

Mountain Mudd is conveniently located, and for most students it is easy for them to pick up a hot drink on the way to school.

“Having Mountain Mudd close to the school is pretty awesome because I don’t have to worry about trucking all the way across town to get coffee,” said High School student Ashley Jackson.

If you are not a coffee drinker there are a variety of other drinks to choose from as well.

“There is a lot of other stuff you can get at Mountain Mudd like white chocolate which is sort of just like ice cream or cookies and creme,” said Sam Willibey.

Mountain Mudd is also a fun place for Searcy High School students to work.

“What I really like about working at Mountain Mudd is the interactions that I have with the customers everyday; we have a lot of regulars so I get to memorize their drinks,” said Michealah Weaver.

People also like to go to Mountain Mudd because of the friendly attitude.

“Usually in the winter when its snowing the hot chi is delicious; whenever I stop there everyone is so friendly and they are like my friends,” said Tony Bowick.

As the weather gets colder make sure to drive through and grab a hot drink.
