Jordan Slaughter

Unknown-1Jordan Slaughter is a senior wrestler competing in the 220 bracket for Searcy High.  Jordan prepares for matches by practicing from 3-6pm on all but match days.  Jordan is the current state champion and will be defending his title in the 220 bracket later this year at the state championships.  Currently sporting a 25-0 record, he is well on his way to another state championship win.  Jordan is also an all-state defensive end for the Searcy High Lions football team.  The Searcy High School wrestling team has already competed in 4 separate tournaments with impressive results.  Jordan has been a driving force in the success of the wrestling team by placing first in all 4 tournaments, and helping instruct the new wrestlers on the team.  Despite all of his responsibilities Jordan also manages to keep good grades and still hang out with his friends.  Jordan credits much of his wrestling knowledge to Coach Evans, who he says is the person who pushes him the hardest to be great.  Many other wrestlers on the team talk about how skilled and knowledgeable Jordan is and how great he is at helping the team to be better.  The football players can also attone to his skills on the field, and his willingness to get better anyway he can.  Jordan is one of the most respected kids at Searcy High School, known for being an exceptional athlete and a great person.  Many younger students look up to him for guidance and strive to be as successful as he already is.
