High gas prices frustrate locals

As everyone goes to and from school and work, all have been affected by inconsistent gas prices.

“It’s very frustrating because you try to do a monthly budget when the money is tight and with the gas prices changing up and down, it makes it really had to make a budget for that,” said Tracey Windley.

Many others have different opinions as of the gas prices going up and down.

“I think it truly depends on supply and demand issue,” said David English. “The more they have on hand, the lower the price goes; the less they have on hand, the higher the price goes.”

The prices have affected how much people drive.

“I really try to get all of my trips done in one drive,” Windley said. “I also don’t run to Little Rock just for fun. It’s cut out a lot of just going for fun.”

Many buy gas for more than themselves, spending close to $100.00 a week.

“I have kids that drive and I buy gas for them as well, so within a week I spend about $90 on gas,” said English.

Many people would like to see gas below three dollars.

“I’d love to see it at $2.85 a gallon, I know that 20 cents or 25 cents, but realistically it could happen,” said English.

“I would love to see the first number a two, instead of the three dollar range. I would love to see the two dollars and something, that would be really nice,” said Windley.
