Searcy (LP) Older siblings have a lot of pressure not just because they’re the ones that go thru everything first and the ones that have the most responsibilities or even because they’re the ones that have to stick up for their younger siblings, but because what they do is  being watched by their younger siblings.

Older siblings go thru everything first so when the younger siblings come to situations that the older siblings went thru the younger sibling will just follow the same footsteps that the older sibling went thru. For example I ask Jesus Recendiz how does he think he has influenced his younger brother Pablo Recendiz and he said that he thinks he has influenced him by his loved for trucks. Jesus said that when he was little he became obsessed with trucks and engines, and later so did Pablo. I ask Pablo if this is true and he said yes because he saw his older brother watch trucks on TV and he had pictures of trucks on his wall when he was little that he became obsessed with trucks also.

Another way older siblings can influence their younger siblings is by the way they act. I ask Justine Osborne how he thinks he has influenced his younger brother by they way he acts and he said. “I’m an overachiever and I like to do things better every time” and he says his little brother is becoming an overachiever also because he sees Justine always trying to perfect things.

So being an older seems like a lot of hard work knowing that you got someone looking up to you, but both Jesus and Justine said that it is a lot of work but also a lot of fun because they can help their younger and not make the mistakes that they did.
