Leaps of Joy for Arabiuan Mack

UnknownSearcy(LP) Many student’s start wondering if they will continue sports in their college life or not. For Searcy High senior Arabiaun Mack aka “Flash” or “Flashjordan” stopped wondering and took the opportunity to sign to further her college career and sport career. Mack took a big step by signing for the long jump (track and field) in Jonesboro AR “I thought all my life basketball was my sport but  finally realized running around the track is where my heart belongs.”

Arabian has been playing sports since she was very young. From playing city league basketball, public schools sports and running track.

Mack states she practices two times a day, a morning work out at 5:00 am and noon.

“Flash” tries to stay as motivated as she can. Like trying to have different ways to work and practice during the week. Flash tells us the key to never getting bored with your sport, “Never be lazy, always have something different to stay interacted and engaged.”

Picking a college was Arabiaun’s most difficult decision, so many colleges wanted her but didn’t offer what A-State offered. Mack says,”I’ve always wanted to go to A-State so why not take this opportunity and run with it.” She was so excited and blessed when she got her letter.

Mack states, “I look forward to running and meeting new people, but no team will be like my team here at Searcy High School.”

Soon, High School journeys for Senior Arabiaun will be over, and she will begin bigger and better things. Arabiaun plan on majoring in Biology and getting her degree in Physical Therapy School. When her last year of college rolls around she plans to prepare her self for the Olympics.

We tend to take things we’ve learned along the way, Flash always remembers her favorite quote.”Its not about how good of an athlete you are, it’s about who you serve while doing it. God is always with you!” Flash seems to have her head on straight and ready to take on anything that comes their way.
