Eager for the End of the Year

Searcy (LP) The end of the year is a very bitter-sweet time of the year. It’s a close on all seniors have ever known yet it paves the way for the rest of their lives. For juniors, it ends the tedious struggle of deadlines, due dates, and hair pulling out. For young freshman, it’s another peppy lighthearted step into becoming their own person.

Students share varied responses to the end of their school years. “We’re getting closer to graduation, and all I can think about is becoming a senior,” says Junior Adrianne Solida. “I’m going to miss Searcy High,” says Senior James Hill. “I’m trying to get away from the teachers and go to the beach,” says freshman Trenden Binning.

Through all of classes, it seems they are ready for summer and bluntly just done with all of the stress. “I’m really stressed out, and I’m just starting to hate school,” says Haley Workman.
