SEARCY HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL team will be having a fundraiser at Bailey’s Pizza on January 23rd.  We will be there from 4:30 until close.  Please come out and support our team and help us raise funds for our program.
SENIORS!  It’s time for you to make nominations for Mr. and Miss SHS.  Each senior may nominate ONE male and ONE female from the Class of 2017 by visiting the EAST or WEST office before or after school, in between classes, or at lunch.
Nominations will be taken through Friday, January 13.

YEARBOOKS:Time is running out to purchase your 2017 SHS Yearbook.  Go to www.jostensyearbooks.com to order yours ASAP!

JUNIOR/SENIOR Powder Puff signup sheet is in Mrs. White’s room.

SENIORS who plan on attending A STATE Jonesboro can stop by the Guidance Center for information regarding their Privately Funded Scholarships.  Deadline to apply is February 1.

ABBOTT & FENNER BUSINESS CONSULTANTS :are pleased to be able to continue with their scholarship program for the 10th year.  They will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s).Scholarship Deadline   –  June 12, 2017.
Interested students can pick up further information in the Guidance Center.

ASU-JONESBORO has now opened the link to the Privately-Funded Scholarship application at A-State.  All students are eligible to apply for these scholarships each year. The scholarships are awarded by alumni and donors of the university.  Each scholarship has different requirements, which are determined by the person(s) who donated the funds. Scholarships are for full-time students and require evidence of scholastic achievement and/or outstanding ability in the area of the award. Scholarships vary in amounts and duration of the award.  Interested students can pick up more information in the Guidance Center.
UCA is offering an ACT Prep course that is designed for high school students (10th grade and above) who have previously scored between 17-25 on the ACT or for high school students who have yet to take the test. Four UCA faculty, experienced in leading ACT Prep courses, will review subject material and offer test-taking tips to help students progress through the exam in a more reasonable and timely manner. Class sizes are kept fairly small to maximize learning.
Date: January 17 – February 9, 2017
Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 pm – 8 pm
Cost: $100 per student
Location: UCA – Old Main
