Traveling Arkansas, the Natural State

Searcy (LP) Arkansas is a beautiful state, filled with rivers, mountains, valleys, and plains. It is unlike no other place, especially since it is the rice and duck capital of the world. This state is known for its tranquility in the small towns surrounded by nature. Tourists seek the activities of hunting, fishing,planting, and climbing mountains.  One very popular place to visit is Blanchard Springs Caverns. Found in Northern Arkansas, the caves and camping grounds are recognized worldwide. The limestone caves can be explored during the remarkable trails such as the Dripstone Trail and the Discovery Trail. This area is named after its spring, which flows through Mirror Lake and Sylamore Creek, going throughout the campground. Sylamore Creek is twenty two point eight miles and has several species of fish.

A very unique park to visit is Greenlee Park in Brinkley, Arkansas. Hundreds of people visit Greenlee Lake to fish and enjoy the quiet sounds of the birds. Many people a year have weddings and events on the boardwalks and the land around it. It is a great place to relax and get away from the stress of life in a big city.

    Peyton Jones, citizen of Arkansas gives his opinion. This place is “a pretty place full of small towns. The best thing about this state is the forests, I like to hunt and fish, so you get to see some really pretty things while you do that.”

   The weather in Arkansas is peculiar. The two cold seasons are very short with Spring and Summer making up the majority of seasonal temperatures. Arkansans believe that they can experience all four seasons in a day. The weather in this state is amazing. It has a variety of temperatures like no other state. Rain could fall and then a few hours later it would seem like the sunniest day of the week. The temperatures rise and fall, with lots of warm weather.

   From shopping in the busy cities, Little Rock and Searcy, to fishing, hunting, planting crops, and enjoying the nice weather, Arkansas has a variety of activities. The state of nature is an excellent place for all people to visit.
