Searcy(LP) If you don’t know the program of EAST then you should! EAST is a coordinated effort to provide today’s students with an educational atmosphere that allows them to gain insight into their own abilities to acquire and use information, solve problems and develop valuable experience. EAST has been at SHS for many years’s now and has really shown kid’s a real world experience. EAST has many projects that are coming up as we speak. One that sticks out is the Teacher info app. This app allows students to know about the teacher and what students think of them. It tells what kinda atmosphere the classroom is and how much homework is given over the weekend. The app also allows you to know where classrooms are located in the school this is going to help freshmen of SHS a lot. Mrs.Carpenter said, ” It will answer questions that freshmen have had in the past.” The app will also include teacher opinions on phones and bonus point too. The people working on the Teacher info app are Jake Osborne, Brendan Grise, Thomas sledge, Jesse Pasley, Bailey Chapman, Even Deshazo. The app is also going to let parents know how the classroom is going . Brendan said “It would give newer students to adapt easier to the classroom and parents insight over the child’s learning environment” East students have been working on this project for a month and been getting a lot done . They have been gathering data about teachers and student and putting out surveys for them all to answer . Jake said “Organizing the information isn’t difficult but the most time-consuming part is waiting for responses from    teachers .”  Teachers will also be able to download the app with kids. The application will be in the app store along with android.  Jake told me where he gets his inspiration from. Jake  ” I am inspired by my beta fish, Theo. ” East is in classroom 531 and is willing to take any student. East hopes to see you progress in technology and also wish to see you improve the community. Anyone is more than welcome to come help with the app even if you are not in East.
