THE SCHOOL CALENDAR HAS BEEN ADJUSTED AS FOLLOWS: LAST DAY FOR STUDENTS IS MAY 24 AND TEACHER WORK DAY WILL BE MAY 25.Report cards will be mailed May 31st.
SEMESTER TESTS FOR UNDERCLASSMEN WILL BE:

PEP RALLY: There will be a pep rally for our Special Olympic team on Friday, May 5th at 2:40 for grades 9th, 10th and 11th grades in the main gym. Please make plans to attend and honor these athletes as they get ready for the state competition.
SENIORS: Seniors lockers need to be cleaned out completely before leaving campus or it will be thrown away at the end of the year.
2017 SHS GRADUATION DVD PRE-ORDERS: Pick up your DVD order form in either office. Each DVD is $20, and the money must be turned in with your order. Please have exact change or check will be accepted.
YEARBOOK APPLICATIONS: Those interested in applying for the 2017-18 Lion yearbook staff may pick up applications in either office or see Mrs. Holeyfield. The deadline is May 5, 2017.
GOLF TRYOUTS: Golf tryouts: Tryouts for the 2017 Lion and Lady Lion golf teams will be May 15th-17th at 3:30 at Searcy Country Club. Students must have a current physical to tryout. Free Physicals at school are on March 31st. Students can sign up and pick up an information sheet and physical form in Coach Turney’s room (117). There will be a MANDATORY meeting for all students trying out on Wednesday, May 10th at 3:15 in Coach Turney’s room. You MUST sign up, have a physical, return the information sheet, and attend the meeting in order to tryout.
BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: Tryouts for next year’s SHS boys’ basketball team for all spring sport athletes will be on May 22nd and 23rd at 1:00 in the Annex gym. Any student who wishes to tryout must sign up with Coach White and have a current physical. For more information see Coach White or Coach Turney.
GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: Girls basketball tryouts will be May 22, 23 and 24 from 1:30 to 3:30in the main gym at the high school. Everyone trying out will need to have a physical and get a tryout form from Coach Birdsong in room 315.
IMMUNIZATIONS: Once you have turned 16 years old, a 2nd MCV4 (meningitis) shot will be required. Please bring an updated shot record to the nurse as soon as you receive this shot.
