HOMECOMING ROYALTY &SWEETHEART MEETING : There will be a mandatory meeting for all royalty and sweethearts on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 a.m. in the annex gym to discuss homecoming. Escorts DO NOT need to attend.
PEP RALLY: There will be a pep rally for grades 10-12 on Friday, Sept. 8 at 2:40. Students will be dismissed at 2:35. Come ready to cheer on our Lion football team!

PSAT: Any junior wanting to sign up for the PSAT in October needs to sign up in the guidance center. The test costs $16. You must have the money when you come to sign up in the guidance center. The deadline to sign up is Friday, September 8th.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Student Council will meet on Thursday, Sept 21st at 7:35 AM in Mrs. Jones’s room 320. This is for all members, including those student body officers elected in the spring and the newly elected class officers.
SENIOR ADS: Extra senior recognition ads are located in the offices. They are due October 1.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS:
BETA CLUB: Our first meeting will be on September 20th.
FTA: Students in all grades may sign up for FTA in Mrs. Cook’s room starting Monday, August 21. Dues are $5.00. Information regarding club activities will also be available.
FCCLA: FCCLA is starting the collection of dues. The dues are $12.00 and can be paid to Ms. Johnston in the FACS room 104.
HOSA: HOSA Meeting Thursday, Sept. 7 at 7:35 in the Field House.
SPANISH CLUB: Any student interested in joining Spanish Club, must see Miss Haynes before September 6 to pay dues and vote for Sweetheart and officers. Only paid members will be allowed to vote.
FBLA: Students who have taken a business class or are currently taking a business class that wish to join FBLA may begin paying dues starting Monday, August 28. Dues are $15 and paid members may vote for Homecoming sweetheart. See Mrs. Akridge in room 206. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 6 at 7:35 in room 206.
FISHING CLUB: There will be a fishing meeting September 6 for new and returning members in Mrs. Jones’ Room 320 at 3:30pm. If you have any questions please email Coach Rony Jones (rjones@searcyschools.org).
