ARKANSAS SCHOOL FOR MATH SCIENCE AND THE ARTS: A representative from the Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts will be here November 16th, at a table outside the cafeteria during first and second lunch, to speak with any freshman or sophomore interested in applying to attend ASMSA.  A minimum GPA of 3.25 is required for any interested applicant.

GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL: 11th grade students interested in attending Arkansas Governor’s School June 10-July 21 must sign up in the Guidance Center by November 10.  

SENIOR ORDERS:  The following students need to see Carol Daves in the East Office to pick up items the Jostens Rep did not have with him when they ordered on Senior Order Day:

STEAM CLUB: SHS is looking for interested students to join the new STEAM club. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The STEAM club will engage in experiential learning, problem-solving, collaboration,creative and critical thinking. Please sign up with your Science teachers if you are interested in taking this journey with us. 

 

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS: 

KEY CLUB: Key Club members need to drop by Mr. Snow’s room 112 and sign-up for the Pancake Breakfast ASAP scheduled for Nov. 7th.  Also sign-up for giving blood in the Key Club Blood Drive coming up on Nov. 16th.  We will also need a few workers for the Blood Drive.
