Geometry students prep for end of course test

Toward the end of the every school year, geometry students are busy getting ready for the end of course test.

“I try to give the students practice tests at least a month before the actual EOC tests,” says geometry teacher Diana Beaty.

Students feel as of guidance it helps them feel confident.

“I like the pre-tests. I wish that other teachers would also give them out so I can a least have more of a backbone to lean on,” says Sophomore Sarah Davis.

“I’m not very good at Geometry, but getting the study guides and doing little tests along the way before the EOC makes me a little more confident as to passing,” says Freshman Alexis Sterling.

With some seniors leave, most do not look forward to coming back, if they do not pass.

“I dread coming back, if I don’t get proficient. I’ve had four years at this school and senior year is supposed to be about leaving,” says Senior Dalton Holowell. “Now, I wish I had tried my 10th grade year in geometry.”

Teachers help students get above proficient, but they hope they can help get them score advanced.

“I try to reteach everything and answer any questions they may have,” says Beaty.
