Freshmen present science projects

During the annual science night, that the physical science classes put on, parents and students came out to admire and learn about science projects.

“Science night is basically whenever a bunch of people come together with partners and make a project and display of what they’ve studied to explain to parents and friends,” Timothy Weaver said,

Tucker Winley said it is a neat experience for students as they get to be the teacher for once.

“It’s pretty cool, I like explaining things about our project to all the people who don’t know about it,” Winley said.

There are many different parts that the students enjoy doing.

“My favorite part about science night is just being able to show everybody what I’ve learned and show them the presentation that’ll help them better understand the world, ” Crystal Neil said.

Weaver said having all the projects in one room was a good thing.

“My favorite part is probably looking at everyone else’s projects and seeing how cool it is and learning about the new information that they did,” Weaver said.

Some upperclassmen even came to help out with the organization of the event.

“I came here to help the 9th graders with their sciencec projects,” Kimmi Scanlon said. “I’m just going around getting the supplies that they need and seeing all their projects. It’s really fun to get to see all the work that they’ve done.”

Many students look forward to presenting their projects in front of their parents and friends.

“I’m really glad the adults could come and bring their kids and be able to see all the different projects that all the kids have been working on for such a long time,” Winley said.

Parents, teachers and the community were all invited to the science fair.

“I’m really glad all the parents in the community could come out and see what their kids have been working on for the past few weeks,” Neil said.
