The new Marvel movie, The Avengers is out on video and is a real treat. It’s one of the best movies by Marvel  in a while.

The Avengers are Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Caption America, Mark Ruffalo as Dr. Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romnaff/the Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawk Eye.

It hit theaters as a summer blockbuster and has been a huge hit since. This film took all of the favorite Marvel characters and combined them together.

The movie begins when the agency S.H.E.I.L.D finds a block of energy under the ocean, called the tesseract that has enough energy in it to control the world. S.H.E.I.L.D immediately takes it back to headquarters. Soon after though, it is stolen by the villain of the movie and Thor’s adopted brother, Loki.

The Avengers come together to get it back. In the process, they have battles epic proportions to the end of the movie. The Avengers battle the evil Loki for the tesseract.

In the movie, Tony Stark/Iron Man has a reputation for being cocky and socially unacceptable. This makes a lot of his conversations quite hilarious.He constantly cracks cynical jokes making the other characters feel inferior to him.He argues with Caption America along with most of the other characters of the movie. It was hilarious.

Another favorite part of the movie was when Tony Stark was talking to the Loki, about whose team force is greater: “We have an army,” said Loki. “We have a Hulk,” replies Iron Man.

The graphics in the movie were excellent, epescially Loki’s planet. They really paid attention to the details when making the mystical setting in the scenes that include the planet.

The Avengers was a hilarious, action-packed movie. It had all of the favorite characters from the Marvel comics together in one awesome movie. Anybody who is a fan of Marvel movies and in the mood for a real treat should rent the video.
