The boys soccer team has made much progress in preparing for the 2013 season.
“Coach has come up with some various drills and we’ve had awesome practices. Every friday we just scrimmage and have a good time,” said junior Taylor Davis.
The practices have been frequent and rigrious for the new team.
“We’ve been working really hard, getting real serious, taking practice real serious,” said sophomore. Quinten Johnson.
Many returning players are certain that the line up will bring them to victory.
“The only people we lost last year were Manny and Cody,” said Davis. “Manny was really the only one that contributed to the soccer team and we have people who can replace him for sure; I think we’re in the top numbers for winning state this year for sure.”
The players are confident in their fellow teammates.
“We have a wonderful line up. We have A.J., Conner, and Cody on our back line real strong defense and Camden Evan will be real strong offense,” said Johnson.
There is already much positivity in the air for their first game.
“We’re playing Greenbrier and they knock out one of the big schools last year CAC. They were some stiff competition, but we’ll beat them, I’m sure,” said Davis.
“We’ll defiantly win, it’s against Greenbriar it’s gonna be a hard game, but the lions will pull through,” said Johnson.
The first game is February 25 so come out and support your lions.
