Rachel Farley finds spotlight through music

Screen Shot 2013-04-12 at 2.10.17 PMThe Georgia native, Rachel Farley, is said to be one of the hottest up-and-coming country artists of her time.

Farley has a very well developed voice for being only seventeen years old, so well-developed that she has been called the female version of Jason Aldean.

Rachel began to show a deep interest in her music career at the early age of thirteen when she would open shows for the well-known artist Brantley Gilbert.

Farley’s hit single “Ain’t Easy” is about her life as she struggles between acting like a lady and remembering to stand up for herself like her grandpa had told her.

Farley believes that being an individual is more important than going with the crowd or being who the world expects you to be.

“Be who you are and let people respect you for that instead of trying to fit their mold,” said Farley, “You can’t be extraordinary if you are trying to be like everybody else.”

This mindset is the reason Farley earned her spot as the very first signee to RED BOW Records.

Screen Shot 2013-04-12 at 2.14.43 PMFarley transcends the extents of her genre through her impressive voice, age-defying confidence, gut-punching emotional lyrics and captivating stage presence that tell a tale of fearless honesty, personal tragedy and raw craftsmanship.

Rachel Farley humbly claims her success is due to her very fortunate chances to learn from various Country Music artists, including Brantley Gilbert, whom she began opening shows for at the beginning of her career.

As soon as success found Farley, so did tragedy.

Awhile after signing with RED BOW Records, in August of 2011, her father passed away due to a rare form of cancer.

Instead of letting this experience destroy her wild spirit, she found comfort as well as strength in her music and performing.

In the summer of 2012, Jason Aldean heard Rachel’s music and asked her to accompany him on the “My Kinda Party” tour through the fall of 2012.

Country super-star Jason Aldean soon became her manager.

Although I am not a fan of country music, Farley’s story has touched me.

She is a bright girl who is filled with talent and passion; the two key ingredients to being a great musician.

She has a very unique style, and I really appreciate it.

Even though Farley is already doing well for being only seventeen years old, I can tell she has plenty of time to mature and grow, so her music can too.Screen Shot 2013-04-12 at 2.13.36 PM
