Many citizens and their dogs gathered at the park to share an unforgettable experience together.
Barkin’ in the Park is a great way to get together; for everyone to bring their dogs and show them off to everyone else who joined the fun.
All throughout the day many participate in games and contests.
“All day I spent most of my time, just walking around, talking to everyone, and showing off just another part of the family,” explained attendee Christina Langlais.
Many dog owners brought their dogs to participate in a costume competition to see who wore it best.
“We put our dog in a pumpkin costume; she didn’t win, but I’m a hundred percent sure she was the cutest one there,” Cara Fuller explained.
“It wasn’t just based around costume, but personality. Cocoa was very much loved all around, by all of the judges; she just loved the attention from everyone,” attendee Lauren Wheats explained.
Barkin’ in the Park wasn’t just about showing off your pet, it also promoted dog groomers, sitters, and our very own humane society.
“We went out there and brought a few of the dogs that we house at the Humane society, and we let them run around and play with all the other dogs, and other dog owners as well, in search of a possible future customer and dog owner,” Irene Crouch stated.
Many seemed to enjoy the get together; it had quite the stir up around Searcy.
