Earlier this year, two senior basketball players, Brittany Broadway and Angelina Williams, signed up to attend and play basketball for two universities.


Brittnee Broadway signed up with the Mercer University Bears in Macon, Georgia.


“I chose that school because I really like the coaches there and I fit in with all the players. They welcomed me as soon as I got to the school from the airport,” said Broadway.


Angelina Williams will be playing and attending with the Grizzlies at the University of Memphis in Tennessee.

“I picked that school because it has a great coaching staff and great players. I just feel at home,” said Williams.


Both girls are excited for their future playing at college and playing basketball. They had fun playing here at Searcy and are excited to move on to bigger things.


“I’m really excited; I played basketball here for 4 years. I’m ready to go to bigger and better things,” said Broadway.


“Just continuing my career, playing with great players, great conference, great coaches,” said Williams.
