Drama students perform at dessert theatre

DSCF0415Beginning and advanced Drama students participated and joined together to host a ‘Dessert Theatre.’

A total of six plays were put together within a month’s time period, in order to entertain the many viewers that began to show up to see what they had to offer.

“When I first got there, I looked in the windows and all I could see was all of the students roaming around looking for props and costumes, making food and pretty much everything else that they could help with, ” attendee Christina Langlais said.

The streamers were set, the table cloths were spread, the stage, prepared for the performance, and the sweets were ready to be served, as the many viewers piled into the doors of the cafeteria.

“We spent all afternoon after school setting up for the performance, we worked really hard on everything, we helped make the dessert’s, set them out, gather costumes, and go over lines with each other, ” freshmen Teena Kittler said.

The preparations took much time, in order to bring out the whole mood.

“It looked great, honestly, it was something super cute, all the Valentines decorations, they had little candies on the tables and conversation hearts, and it was just extremely cute, it brought the whole mood to another level, ” sophomore Austin Gardner said.

The students spent weeks memorizing and preparing for the plays that they performed.

“We really enjoyed practicing as a whole class, we all get along so well it wasn’t a problem, we had a ton of fun with each other, joking around, goofing off, but on the other hand you have to be serious if you want to do well, so its important to know when its time to be important, ” Kittler said.

Many really enjoyed the whole event all in all.

“I thought the whole event itself was great, the performance was good too, it’s just the fact that even if they missed a line, it didn’t bother them they played it off, and finished the show, ” Langlais said.
