Every one knows when it becomes that time for prom again. People can find teenage girls flipping out because they can not find the right dress, shoes, nails, hair style, or accessories.
Prom can cost a fortune due to nothing being cheap. The right dress that costs an arm and leg that you just had to have because it was made just for you. Well, that and you are exhausted from all the different shops you have been at trying to find the one dress that actually probably does not exist. I know it sounds depressing, but girls acknoweledge this fact and try to get the next best thing to their dream prom dress. As soon as you find that one dress, you begin to look for the best accessories and begin looking for your dates tux.
Then as the time gets closer, prom-goers began to scurry to get the best appointments for the day, so that their hair, nails, tan, and makeup will look the best for pictures and prom. Girls always try to get the afternoon appointments because they do not want their hair and makeup ruined for the pictures.
Boys have it a lot easier because they only have to get a haircut and put on a tux. They do not have to get all dolled up for prom which I guess is what a girl really looks forward to. All these appointments cost a ton as well. Everything costs money, and they definitely are not cheap. You know when you have to set an appointment it is going to cost you a fortune because it is fancy. It is also time consuming because each appointment takes at least an hour and half which leads me to my next point on prom prep.
Prepping for prom takes forever! I mean a girl starts prepping for prom around December to find the right dress. It takes a month of online research then a few months of actually searching for it in stores till you find one. Then when prom starts getting closer the appointments are booked; the week of prom everyone is in their appointments getting it all dolled up. Then the day of prom everyone goes to their appointments for hours making every detail perfect. The night has arrived and it is time for pictures another thing that costs money and time.
An hour or two before prom, couples take their individual pictures then maybe if they want to, they take group pictures. Everyone always flips on pictures because you either look good or bad, and no one wants to be around that one person in the group who thinks they look bad. Then everyone piles into the vehicle that is taking you to wherever the restaurant your group has chosen which costs an arm and leg itself. Finally after all this prep time and life savings that was spent, prom has finally arrived and is worth it, every single penny of it, so shop till you drop.
