As the seniors have moved on, many juniors have different opinions on how they feel about moving up.  Some juniors aren’t really sure how they feel.

“It’s kind of scary, because it’s reality setting in we only have one more year left,”said Sarah Thomas.

The juniors are anxious yet cannot predict what the future holds for them.

“It feels really scary, because it’s one year away from moving on with our lives,” said Joe Kalinoski. “I mean senior year for most is blowing off, but for my I can’t slack off, I have to stay up with my college classes and everything.”

However, most still do not feel the effect of going up a grade.

“It feels really weird because yesterday felt like the first day of ninth grade and I don’t really feel like a senior yet,”said Brette Davidson.

A few others know exactly how they feel.

“It feels weird to be a senior because I don’t do anything in my classes now and I just want to be in kindergarten taking naps and eatin’ snacks,”said Cara Sevier.

Juniors are seeing themselves as seniors already.

“A little bit because the seniors are gone and I feel like we’re the oldest group and I’m kinda ready to be a senior,”said Brette Davidson.Screen Shot 2014-05-13 at 3.00.20 PM

With these mixed emotions, when exactly do juniors become seniors.

“I would consider myself a senior on my first day of my senior year next year,”said Connor Ford.

Eventually, every junior has to feel like a senior.

“I would consider us seniors after graduation,”said Thomas.

Some do not even want their senior year to come.

“I don’t consider myself a senior because it’s scary and I don’t want to be a senior yet,”said Cara Sevier.

When graduation comes around, the juniors see themselves as a step closer to the end of their high school years.

“I would consider ourselves seniors when graduation comes around because there’s no one really above us juniors to say no and they still have to come back for tests before graduation,”said Joe Kalinoski.

Regardless of the juniors’ opinions, the seniors are gone and someone has to fill the void.
