FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) had their first meeting on August 28. FCA has been in commission since 1954. Their mission is to volunteer in the community and help others.
All of the new and old FCA members are looking forward to the upcoming year to see what all they can accomplish with their friends.
“Yes, I’m excited for the upcoming year because my friends are in FCA with me,” said sophomore Sara Minton.
Many people have joined because they have wanted to learn more about Christ.
Others are in it for the fun of it and because they get to improve their community with their work.
“I love to do the volunteer work,” said Minton.
Jake Williams has been in FCA for two years. He is more of a sponsor of the group.
“I like to sponsor events to help get our club name out there,” said Williams.
FCA is hoping to have another good year of playing games and praying for others.
For the most part, they pray for family as well as friends.
They always pray for the best outcome for any situation.
Their praying spreads inspiration throughout the school.
Inspiration is a mysterious thing. Many need to really think about their inspiration.
Hopefully, FCA inspires the students around them through the rest of the school year.
