As senior year progresses many students start focussing more on college and the processes they have to go through to be accepted. By January, most students have applied and have been accepted at many colleges throughout the country. Some students have even made the decision of where they want to attend.
Senior Ann Claire Smith has decided to go to Lipscomb University in Nashville.
“I was really excited to get my acceptance letter; I felt like all of my hard work and stress that I went through had finally paid off,” said Smith.
Some students are not as decisive as others.
“I really don’t know where I want to go yet, but I plan to apply to as many places as possible,” said Senior Julia Dea.
With all of these decisions, a lot of stress is added. Many students choose to take a lighter load of classes their senior year to eliminate some of the added difficulty, while others choose classes that prepare them for college.
Some applications require recommendations and admission essays while others are simple only asking the basic information.
“I got a lot of help to fill out applications from some of my college friends,” said Dea, “I would suggest that everyone try and get someone to help them because is makes it a lot easier.”
