The Lady Lion softball team arrives bright and early every weekday morning to practice in the field house.
“I have to wake up at 5:30 to be at the field house by 6:30,” said sophomore, Tali Douglas.
The morning practices focus more on the girls’ batting skills.
“I like them. I think they help us a whole lot to get better with our batting,” said sophomore, Jordan Feltrop.
Softball girls also practice in the afternoons.
“I kind of like afternoon practices better because we’re outside and we get to move around more,” said junior Ashley Fox.
Fox said afternoon practices focus more on throwing and catching, rather than batting. However the morning practices are hard to get used to.
“It kind of sucks but I know that it’s good for us because it makes us better,” Fox said. “The Lady Lion softball team can make it to the state finals if they work hard and keep practicing to their best ability.I hope that we continue to get better and we can make it to state like we did last year.”
