Searcy (LP) There are plenty of shoe brands out there in the world such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, and the list continues. But there is one shoe brand that catches the eye of most people in this world, and that is always having a pair of Jordan’s or as other people like to call them J’s. The Jordan brand came from the one and only Michael Jordan. Michael had been a basketball player ever since he was a little kid. His dreams came true in the blink of an eye, you may know him as the beast of basketball, or MJ. In 1985, Nike gave Jordan and his signature line of sneakers and apparel a unique logo – clearly, this line was created to be very different from Nike’s previous basketball efforts.

Jordan has been in business ever since the creation of these shoes. People wanted to own “Jordan’s” left and right, straight out of the box. I have gone around school and asked some people how many Jordans they own and what was their favorite pair. I had responses all the way from “ Eleven lows,” to, “ retro 4 thunders.” I asked people how many pairs of Jordans they own, some people said “ I only have one pair of Jordan’s”, Another person said “ I own 38 pairs of Jordans, and still counting.” Some people wear Jordans because they look good, some people wear them for which one is in style at that time.

There are about 25 kinds of Jordans and worldwide Jordan has sold over 59,687,412,365 pairs of shoes over the years, and it is still increasing by the day. So many Jordans and so many people buying them off the spot it is crazy. There are so many types of Jordans in the world and many people customize  them as well. I asked Mr. Brooke’s if he had owned any Jordan’s, he responded “Yes, I had just bought a pair for P.E. the other day, cause we always play basketball, and we stay balling on the court.”
