Searcy, Ar. (LP)– The Christmas Holiday is here! Searcy has only been able to see a few flurries here and there. Many people have some exciting plans for the Christmas break.
Kayleigh English, a senior at Searcy High School states, “We are holding Christmas at my house, my brothers are coming down to spend time with us.” Christmas break also includes New Years Eve and New Years Day. Kayliegh English says “I am going to a new years party and I am going to enjoy my time away from school.” Kayleigh is looking forward to see her family coming in and is looking forward to the Chrsitamas feast that they have every year.
Sky Morris is a senior at Searcy High School also and she states, “We will be traveling to Chicago, St. Louis, and Branson for the Christmas break.” Sky expects this Christmas break to be the best one yet. She is looking forward to traveling with her family and seeing a ton of new things. “I can’t wait to travel and just enjoy my time away from test, work, and just school in general.”
Mollei Babb, another Senior at Searcy High School says, “I will be going to Louisiana to visit my family and even see a few old friends.” Mollei is excited to go back home for the break. Although she is not looking forward to the four and a half hour drive back home to Louisiana. “I will literally not miss Searcy High School, I kinda hate that I have to come back in January, but it will be the last semester of my high school year.” Mollei is just ready for the entire school year to be over and I could second that. She is ready to start the next chapter of her life, which is college.
Searcy has started a new tradition of an ice skating rink at Spring park. This is suppose to be our newest grand attraction, including our yearly Christmas parade and even Santa Claus coming to town!
Christmas break can mean a variety of different things! Catching up on missed moments in a family member life, spending some real quality time with your family and friends, even playing catch up and thinking back on some old fond memories. New Years is for new resolutions and goals for the year of 2019. This Christmas break is some of the Searcy High School Seniors last high school Christmas Break. Many students at Searcy high School have been waiting for the Christmas break and many are really looking forward to it.
