Discipline in Life

Searcy AR (LP) — Discipline is an action that is often mistaken for abuse.  Discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience, abuse is treating (a person or an animal) with cruelty or violence, especially regularly or repeatedly. Often it is misunderstood that some children are not as easy to work with as others.  These children commonly make the same mistakes over and over causing them to be punished more. At this point the parents are made out to be abusive, when really they are just using the same method of punishment instead of trying something new that will make them learn quicker. Cameron Crawford says,Spanking your child will make them respectful, but if you just beat your kids for no reason then they’ll grow up abusive.”  Most abuse comes from being a child and acquiring everything you wanted, and not having any restrictions, to getting older and nothing going how it is expected.

Telling a child no when asking for something every once in a while will show that not everything goes the way they want it.  Doing so will show them more respect for what they have and also teach better judgement skills in the future. Cameron says that he is, “Proud to be raised the way he was, having more respect for the people around me and what I have.” Continuing Cameron informs that, “Grounding them as they age is normally more effective,” because spanking will no longer be punishment.  Instead, make them stay in the house or take their phone showing that they will not be able to have any fun with friends as long as they keep acting up.

Age always changes something in life. Discipline is the same way, as you get older, the actions you make get bigger along with the consequences that come with that action. When a person is young and gets a cookie without asking, they maybe standing in the corner for ten minutes, when older you steal, that is a fine along with court, and maybe even jail time if major enough.  Discipline is often thought of as something for children but look around you, jails, prisons, rehabs, and institutions are all forms of discipline facilities for adults all serving time ;as if their parent had grounded them, for the crimes they committed. Discipline is something that is always being used, from the beginning of time, to the day man dies.
