New Vintage Clothing Store In Searcy

Searcy, AR (LP) – Some may think vintage clothing is a thing of the past, but the trend is just starting out. Just a couple weeks ago, the town was introduced to a brand new vintage clothing store, The Vault. The store’s grand opening took place on November 16th and has almost been opened for a month.

This new clothing store ranges in a wide variety of items for customers to choose from.

“The Vault offers more than just vintage clothing. It offers an outlet for creativity with fashion,” explains Chloe Martinez, an employee at the store and the owner, Tracy Sellers, daughter. “There is everything from vintage t-shirts and all things denim, to turtlenecks and sweaters. We also offer a wide variety of accessories and retail items (candles, wallets, headbands, handbags, etc.).”

The Vault acquires their clothing through wholesale distributors from all over the United States and even the United Kingdom. These wholesale distributors work with sales people remotely for orders and scheduling appointments for handpicking items.

Tracy Sellers, owner of The Vault, describes how her idea of The Vault came to be.

“After being employed in the Oil and Gas Industry for almost fifteen years, I became unemployed when the drilling stopped in Arkansas. My daughter has always loved vintage clothing and inspired me to open a store in Searcy. After praying about this and a lot of research, I decided to begin with a new chapter in my life,” explains Sellers.

After around eight months of researching and educating herself in all eras of vintage clothing, Sellers and her daughter opened their brand new store. They have been promoting their store through social media and using Google and other Searcy leaders to their advantage.

The Vault offers a wide range of clothing and accessories.

“I am hoping the store grows into a zone for the entire community to thrive under the love of vintage. It’s more than just clothing. You’re turning someone else’s memories into your own. Each piece of clothing tells a story from the past, and today we are wearing pieces to create our future,’ says Martinez.

While it may be her job, Sellers’ main focus is on making her shoppers satisfied.

“We are not here to make a fortune,” states Sellers. “Just a living and to put smiles on our customers faces when they leave our store!”

Sellers and Martienz hopes their store reaches out and gives an opportunity to the people of their community a start to a new style for themselves or to add on to their already existing vintage clothing collection.
