One of our main events here at the Searcy High School is sports. Sometimes we would have a pep rally for the sports. There are a lot of sports like football, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, and soccer. All of these sports were going on until the covid-19 hit then everything went down hill including the sports. Everybody had to be quarantined in their house and nobody could go into the stores and games without a mask on their face and everything changed real quick. While covid-19 was going on they decided to stop the sports and everybody got mad at the world. Having the mask on our faces is really hard because we have to stay 6 feet apart and also with the face mask on it gets our face really hot to where we were waiting on our face and that’s hard. So I have some interviews that gave us some of their answers. This is what Mr. Hodges says, “We have been fortunate in the fact we have been able to play football so far.” They are letting the sports teams play again on the field. This is what Coach Long says,  “As of now we are still playing, just under strict guidelines.” And right now there are guidelines that the team has to follow while there at the game. While the sports teams are on the bus to travel to the game they have to put them 6 feet apart from each other or at least try to at all times. While you’re on the bus you have to have your mask on to cover your face. “We try to stay at least 6 feet apart when we can.  During the game, the players are able to play as they always have been able to.” The families can sit together and stay 6 feet apart. “Yes. Family members can sit closer.” Staying 6 feet apart from each other will make it less chance to get the covid-19 than being together. “Yes before Covid hit, it was a lot less stressful.” I liked going to the football games until it got stressed out. “I love supporting our Lions in all sports.” The games were a lot of fun. In conclusion, everybody is very excited that the sports teams are back. When covid-19 goes away everybody is gonna be a whole lot cleaner than before. At least that’s what i think and also i am very glad the sports teams are back. The games are the same just before the game there is preparation going on and then the game.
