Searcy, AR (LP) — The benefits of students or young teens working out. A lot of people just think, oh you only workout to lose weight. But it’s so much more than just losing weight. A lot of people, even students at SHS, go for physical activity, mental help, some even just go to do with the small amount of free time they have. It’s not only about losing weight. Working out at a young age will help you in the long run. With helping you grow muscles and help your body to fight from diseases and all.
Quint Ashburn who became a coach for football and wrestling in 2013. He explains how before he started working out he didn’t feel as good. After working out and building a routine quotes “I felt good.” Not only did he feel better but he also grew more of an appetite and confidence level which you will see happens to a lot of people after starting to work out. Coach Ashburn thinks that it would be more beneficial if students started working out. “The Reason for that is it creates better habits for whenever you’re older. You need to work out from when you’re young till you get a lot older. Just something small like walking a mile a day. It doesn’t seem like much but it can do so much for you in the future. It keeps you feeling good and keeps you from getting hurt. Where when you stop working out your body can actually create more problems for your body. You’re gonna break down faster, you’re gonna feel bad, you’re gonna have bad blood flow so many bad things can happen with no exercise,” says Ashburn. Which has been proven that that is very true. Here is an article that tells more information about the same information.

Ethan has noticed that he is more active with a lot more things now and keeping a healthy mind set. Keeping a healthy mind set while in sports and in school is very beneficial and good for your mental health. Ethan said, “I recommend it for anyone willing to start.” Even though working out is not for everyone, getting in a few extra steps such as taking the longer way to class even, can help you in so many ways.
