Searcy, AR(LP) — Searcy High School Esports had a team for the last 3 years in 2018, Brandon Renuard has been coaching for the last two years in the Searcy high schools Esports. Rocket league and League of legends have been played for the last two years but in 2020 they have added Super Smash Bros. “The newest game added this year is Splatoon 2. It will be played with teams of 4. Last Semester they added Smash Bros. So it’s still fairly new,” said Brandon Renuard. Even though Searcy High schools were close winning the state tournament in League Of Legends. “We have not won any state tournament. Our closest current best is runner up in league of legends. I think we have a good enough team in league of legends and Smash Bros that we have a possibility of winning. We did win an in-person Tournament at Arkansas State in both Fortnite and Fortnite teams. It’s the only in person Tourney we have done because of Covid, but several colleges are planning more this year and we hope to attend,” said Brandon Renuard.
