Selling and reselling sneakers has became popular in the early 2000’s resellers began to use the internet to their advantage. Forums such as ‘Nike Talk’ as well as many others became a platform for resellers and consumers alike, to buy, sell, trade, and verify authenticity of their products. In the late 2000’s the game was changed in a massive way.

“So I sold them for what I  got them for, I also would run across shoes I would love so I ended up keeping them instead of making money off them”, said Alfedo Delgado. Back then are many other stories where former students couldn’t even afford there own sneakers cause it’s really hard to work and save money and some use them for like college and many other things. “The love for them, I grew up not being able to afford the sneakers I wanted so when I got a job I started collecting my own and one day woke up and just decided to start reselling around town,” said Alfredo Delgado. “Honestly I would say i’m still not there. I’ve been reselling since February of 2021 and had a couple mistakes but I know it’s taught me a lot about the business and I know I’m in the right path to get where I want to be.” “Stay consistent, patient and  be smart about what you decide to keep for yourself. I went a couple months without reselling between my start and now and one thing that caused that was me being lazy or not wanting to wait for the right customer to buy the shoes at the right price,” said Alfredo Delgado.

Reselling sneakers requires hard work and success isn’t guaranteed. If you’re passionate about sneakers, it might be a worthwhile investment provided you work hard and learn the business. In this way, investing in sneakers is no different than investing in any other asset. “Stay consistent, patient and  be smart about what you decide to keep for yourself. I went a couple months without reselling between my start and now and one thing that caused that was me being lazy or not wanting to wait for the right customer to buy the shoes at the right price”, said Alfredo Delgado.
