Josh Woodell, owner of Woodell Construction explains how you optionally can fortify and register your original brand name idea, “Anyone can register a Brand Name or copyright a phrase through the US Patent and Trademarks Office which is a national organization but you don’t have to do that to start a business,” Registering your brand name could help you with getting ahead of some corporations collapsing younger business ideas by stealing and falsely accusing reserved violations. This can also be aided by separating your ideas from others, “The best way is to incorporate, which is to create a separate legal entity to operate under the protection of; however you don’t have to do that, many businesses operate only as individuals DBA (Doing Business As) and they pick any name.” Josh Woodell states. Now with all of this being said, there are still going to be obstacles in some cases, many small businesses have their own obstacles to get over. Josh Woodell explains, “Certainly the biggest obstacle is all the extra paperwork that comes along with whatever it is you do for profit. Businesses typically pay taxes monthly, quarterly, and annually so there’s a lot of extra work to be prepared for. It’s also a misconception that when you own your own business, you are your own boss; if you own your own business your boss is the client or more likely many clients,” Josh Woodell Explains.

Businesses nowadays start out rough, and some have an easy take off. Many churches even have started off small and grown to be huge with many followers. Whatever idea you have in mind, no matter what it can accomplish, luckily in America you can come up with any kind of service and product you would like to sell to your clients and costumers. Never take the opportunities for granted, your ideas should never be dismissed. Don’t let anyone tell you that your idea is stupid or out of this world. Great businesses have fallen from criticism and now today many don’t let their growing social media bases take them down. Unless you’re stealing from another business’s idea, that can cost you a huge amount of money and possibly a few years or more in federal prison, usually if you can’t pay the fine which can reach up to $225,000. Even if you’re starting a small business and not looking forward for anything bigger, its best to register your brand name so no one can register it and sue you which sounds impossible, but like growing your own idea, thanks to America anything can happen.
