That can be dangerous for those who don’t compress the master of the mixer board. “Each channel has their own ‘comp’ label where the compressor gain, and effects are in place. This comes in handy for bigger echoing rooms so you don’t increase the reverberated levels,” adds Terry. For smaller venues lowering the general mastering gain over all channels helps control the output, this can go into play for videos as well as live streams. “There are many different recording software which can enhance your ingenuity and performance within the general workflow of kicking off and even editing the videos afterwards which is a bonus!” said Terry.
