the Searcy tennis team on Aug. 29 went against the Vilonia Eagles. Although this wasn’t a conference game, Lions went home satisfied.

“We played good as a team against Vilonia, and overall as a team we came out on top,” said sophomore Clay Rainwater.

In mens singles matches, Tanner Scarbrough won his number one match with a score of 8 to 2. Zack Velmez won with a score of 8-0, as well as Jared Dietz.

While, Joey Davis and Justin Holtz won their mens doubles match 8 to 2.

As for the ladies, Ariel Butler won her number one single match, 8 to 0.

Sophie Camerman and Hannah won 8 to 2 in the ladies doubles match.

At the end of the day, Lions took home a great victory. Guys winning 11 to 0, and the girls winning 6 to 4.
