Every year Searcy hosts the White County Fair Parade which features floats, bands, and unique cars.  The parade brings a sense of small-town unity to Searcy, and leads up to the White County Fair.

The Fair parade is both small-town and exciting.  Many kids go for the candy, and some adults go to watch the parade’s attractions go by.

One parade watcher feels like small town Searcy is highlighted in this parade.

“Just seeing the people I know go by on the floats,”  Tonya Lecke said.    “I like to see the little kids and their parents vehicles coming by, and when you yell their names they just think it’s so much fun.”

Along with being exciting the parade is also brings a sense of small-town family fun.  “Quaint and anticipatory.  You know it’s leading up to something which is the fair,” Lecke added

The Fair also brings in good business to local Searcy restaurants and helps to mark the beginning of Fall.

“A lot of business comes in.  I think the White County fair is just one of those things people associate the White County fair with the beginning of Fall and the kids have a good time and…it’s just small-town county fair fun,” Lecke said.

Whether the reason is fun, small business, or just pure excitement come out to see the White County Fair parade and the fair.
