My last school was a 4A, so Searcy is a lot bigger than I was expecting, but I have just enjoyed it.&#8221;<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/>&#8220;Well, last year I actually got to teach; I got to teach at Beebe, but I choose to be at Searcy so I could be a part of a community,&#8221; said Bobbi Green. &#8220;I also wanted to work where I live.&#8221;<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\nStudents have different feelings on their the new teachers this year, but Green&#8217;s students are forming their opinions on their teacher early.<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;I think Mrs. Green is pretty cool,&#8221; said sophomore Kat Houchin. &#8220;She&#8217;s doing really well with teaching her class so far and helping me understand stuff.&#8221;<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;She&#8217;s a really good teacher and she is really good at explaining stuff,&#8221; said sophomore Orion Hulsey. &#8220;She explains things better than my past teachers.&#8221;<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\nMany teachers have different approaches on discipline and group work, but finding a happy medium can be best for the students.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20640 alignright\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2014-02-06 at 2.51.28 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/searcylionpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Screen-Shot-2014-02-06-at-2.51.28-PM-400x263.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"275\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t call her strict, but she does lay down the laws within the classroom which is a good thing, so we are not as rowdy that way we can still work in groups with the person beside us,&#8221; said Houchin.<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\nBeginning a career is a daunting life changing task, but many people here have a calling to do something they love.<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;I knew I wanted to be a teacher about 2010 when I realized and started thinking about the problems with the educational process and with the teachers,&#8221; said Summers.\u00a0&#8220;I hoped to be one that came back to change it.&#8221;<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;I knew I wanted to be a teacher in the sixth grade and then I had a really awesome math teacher,&#8221; said Green.<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><br \/>\nHopefully Mrs. Green and Coach Summers settle in well and become permanent teacher in Searcy.<br class=\"blank\" \/><br class=\"blank\" \/><\/p>\n<p><object width=\"660\" height=\"440\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=73806943&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=&amp;color=000000&amp;fullscreen=[object Object]\" \/><embed width=\"660\" height=\"440\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=73806943&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=&amp;color=000000&amp;fullscreen=[object Object]\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p><!-- The Embed code for the Vimeo video ends here --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Searcy has added two new teachers Coach Austin Summers and math teacher Bobbi Green who came for different reasons and are working on teaching the students this year. &#8220;I have only heard good things of Searcy,&#8221; said Austin Summers. &#8220;I wanted to teach at a bigger school.
