CONGRATULATIONS<\/b> to band members Victoria Brown ( 2nd band, 1st chair – bass clarinet) and Margaret Lim (3rd band, 3rd chair – oboe) for being named to the Arkansas All-State Band. \u00a0 They will participate in the Arkansas All-State Music Conference in Hot Springs on\u00a0Feb. 16-18.\u00a0 Congratulations to them on being named among the best in the state of Arkansas!<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0to the following choir students at Tryouts\u00a0on Friday. Not only will they be participating in the All-State Chorus but they will be a part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of Arkansas Choral Director’s Association! Well Done Students!<\/span><\/p>\n

PARENT\/TEACHER CONFERENCES & EARLY DISMISSAL:<\/b>\u00a0SHS Parent\/Teacher Conferences will be held on\u00a0Thursday, February 9th\u00a0from\u00a03:15p.m. to 7:15p.m.\u00a0in the cafeteria. Searcy Schools will dismiss at\u00a02:30 p.m.on\u00a0Tuesday, February 7\u00a0for Parent\/Teacher Conferences, grades K-3, and on\u00a0Thursday, February 9\u00a0for Parent\/Teacher Conferences, grades 4-12.\u00a0 Parents are invited to pick up progress reports and meet with teachers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UNITY HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP<\/b>: The 2017 Unity Health Foundation $1000 Auxiliary Scholarship has been posted to the website. Please follow the instructions carefully.<\/span><\/p>\n

PLAY4JARREN CELEBRATION OF LIFE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY<\/b>\u00a0: <\/span>We have a scholarship application for any Arkansas senior who has been affected by cancer.\u00a0 Interested seniors can pick up the application in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

SEARCY HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS<\/b> who are planning to attend the University of Arkansas are encouraged to apply for a scholarship through the Walton College which is provided through the generosity of private donors. The deadline to submit this online application is <\/span>February 15, 2017<\/span>. UCA CLASS REGISTRATION<\/b>: Current seniors who are planning to attend UCA in the upcoming Fall can sign up for class registration starting now! THE ARKANSAS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS<\/b> are now being accepted by the Department of Media at ASU-Jonesboro. The scholarship is for high school seniors who plan to major in broadcasting at A-State. The application is available in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n
