CHEER AND LION STEPPER TRYOUTS<\/b>: Cheer and Lionstepper Tryouts will be held April 3rd through the 7th. <\/span><\/p>\n

A mandatory meeting will be held for all interested girls and one parent Tuesday, March 14th at <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>5:30 pm \u00a0in the Main Gym. <\/span>All candidates must sign the list in the East or West Office. <\/span><\/i>Contact Ms. Cramblett or Ms. Simpson if you have any questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS:<\/b> To SHS Swimmer <\/span>Erin McGuirt<\/b> for winning the State Title in the 200 Individual Medley and 2<\/span>nd<\/span> place in the 100 Butterfly. Her time in the 200 earned her All- American honors and qualifies her for the USA National Championships. <\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS<\/b> to the Searcy Lady Lions on their win over Little Rock Hall<\/span>\u00a0on Saturday<\/span>. The Lady Lions will take on Russellville at<\/span>\u00a07:00 P.M.\u00a0<\/span>at Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs on<\/span>\u00a0Wednesday, March 1st\u00a0<\/span>beginning at<\/span>\u00a07 P.M.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>in the first round of the state tournament. Go Lady Lions!<\/span><\/p>\n

VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS:<\/b> Volleyball tryouts for girls entering grades 10-12 will be on\u00a0March 13th and 14th\u00a0at the annex gym from\u00a03:30-5:00.\u00a0 Informational packets will be available for pick up in the East office starting\u00a0February 27th.<\/span><\/p>\n

SHS PROM CLOSET<\/b>–Searcy High School Prom Closet will hold its shopping days on\u00a0<\/span> Tuesday, March 7<\/b>th<\/b>, Thursday, March 9<\/b>th<\/b>, and Tuesday, March 28<\/b>th<\/b>.\u00a0 SHS students who are attending the SHS Prom and would like to take advantage of the free service are invited to visit the Prom Closet from\u00a03:15-5:00 P.M.\u00a0on the third floor of the SHS PAC. Inventory consists of prom items for females such as dresses, shoes, purses and jewelry, and we also have a small inventory of men\u2019s suits and ties.\u00a0 Students may also sign up at this time for hair and makeup services on the day of the prom. CLINICAL APPLICATIONS: <\/b>The application for Clinical Internship is now available in the Guidance Center. \u00a011th grade students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply.\u00a0 Deadline to return application materials to the Guidance Center is\u00a0March 30.<\/span><\/p>\n

HONOR GRADUATES<\/b>: All Searcy High School honor graduates and their parents should have received an email with information regarding the 2017 Honor Graduate video. Pictures are due by\u00a0Tuesday, March 14, 2017\u00a0to Mrs. Betsy Bailey. You may email Mrs. Bailey at\u00a0<\/span>bbailey@searcyschools.org<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or leave the photos in the EAST office at Searcy High School.<\/span><\/p>\n

HARDING UNIVERSITY PHARMACY CAMP<\/b>: Applications for Harding University’s Pharmacy Summer Camp are available in the Guidance Center. Dates for the camp are\u00a0June 18-23.<\/span><\/p>\n

UNITY HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP<\/b>: The 2017 Unity Health Foundation $1000 Auxiliary Scholarship has been posted to the website. Please follow the instructions carefully.<\/span><\/p>\n

PLAY4JARREN CELEBRATION OF LIFE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY<\/b>\u00a0: <\/span>We have a scholarship application for any Arkansas senior who has been affected by cancer.\u00a0 Interested seniors can pick up the application in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

UCA CLASS REGISTRATION<\/b>: Current seniors who are planning to attend UCA in the upcoming fall can sign up for class registration starting now! They have two options for students: A regular advising session and Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR).\u00a0 Students can find out more information in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE ARKANSAS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS<\/b> are now being accepted by the Department of Media at ASU-Jonesboro. The scholarship is for high school seniors who plan to major in broadcasting at A-State. The application is available in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n
